Brilliant performed a competitive study not only of the two acquired products but of their competitors as well to deeply understand the mindset and goals of researchers, and their typical information-gathering approaches.  Using eye tracking and interactive sessions, we were able to understand how all competitors were being used and overarching themes of what needs to be improved first, and which of their products is most compatible with the way their users think and work.
